Your sessions stay on your machine
AgentMuse watches how you work with Claude Code and draws it. All of that stays on your computer. There is no account, no sign in, and nothing is uploaded.
What it records
The shape of the work, not the content of it. Which tool ran, when, for how long, whether it succeeded, which file it touched, which command it was, how many agents were going and what the model reported about its own usage.
What it never records
- What you typed to Claude. Your prompts are never stored.
- What Claude replied.
- The contents of your files, or of any diff.
- Your email address, your account, or any identifier of you.
This is not filtering after the fact. The parts we keep are listed in the code, and anything not on that list is dropped before anything is written to disk - so a field nobody thought about is discarded rather than stored. Claude sends us plenty we do not want; throwing it away is our job and it happens on the way in.
It watches every project, not just one
Connecting adds entries to Claude Code’s own settings file, which is for your whole machine. Every Claude Code session on that computer is captured, not only the project you set it up in. You can disconnect at any time, from inside the app, and it puts the file back as it was.
The one request the app makes
AgentMuse checks whether a newer version exists. That is the only thing it sends anywhere, and you can turn it off in Settings. This is the whole request:
GET /latest.json
accept: application/json
user-agent: tauri-plugin-updater/2.13.1
host: agentmuse.appThere is no version of the app in it, no machine identifier, no licence, no account and nothing about what you captured. The user agent names the updater component, not you and not your install. Our server learns that a computer asked, which is unavoidable for any request at all, and we would rather write that down than claim otherwise.
Nothing is downloaded or installed without you clicking. Turning the automatic check off in Settings stops it completely, and the Check now button still works, because that is you asking.
What an export contains
An export is a picture or a video you made on purpose. It carries the counts and the shapes you can already see on screen, plus your own name or handle if you entered one. File paths are shortened so they do not give away your username or your folder layout, and you can see what is in it before it is written.
Your captured sessions cannot be reconstructed from an export, and that is deliberate rather than incidental.
Buying
The purchase happens here on this website, not inside the app. Our payment provider handles your card and your email; we never see your card. The app is never told who you are, and the part of it that checks your licence cannot read your captured sessions at all.
Your licence is checked on your own machine against a key inside the app. It never calls us. Being offline does not stop it working.
Deleting everything
Settings has a Delete everything button. It removes the captured sessions, the activity record and the exports the app knows about, from your machine, permanently.
Two things it deliberately does not touch, because they are not ours to remove: files you already exported and saved somewhere yourself, and the entries in Claude Code’s settings file. Use Disconnect for the second, before or after.
If you want to check any of this
Everything above is the short version of a longer document written for someone verifying it rather than reading it, with the measurements behind each claim. If you want to know how we know, that is where it is written down.
